Adding your first property to your Octo account is the first step in transitioning your workflow. Adding a property couldn’t be simpler but make sure to have all the necessary information to hand so you don’t forget to fill it in later.
Getting Started:
Step 1: From anywhere in the platform the “Add Property” button can be accessed at the top of the page.
Once selected it will open a new page in order to fill out property details as seen in the screenshot below.
The second step is to select if the property has 1 or more rentable units.
If your property has 1 rentable unit:
- Select the type of property you wish to add.
- Fill in basic property details such as the Name/Ref and the address. Please note that the “Number of Rentable Units” and “Total Square Feet” fields are auto calculated from the “Unit Details” section below.
- The next stage is to add details about the rentable unit.
- After filling out all the property and unit details press submit in order to add both the property and unit to your Octo portfolio.
A property with multiple rentable units:
- Select the type of property you wish to add.
- Fill in basic property details such as the Name/Ref and the address. Please note that the “Number of Rentable Units” and “Total Square Feet” fields are auto calculated from the “Unit Details” section below.
- The next stage is to add details about each rentable unit. In order to add another unit to the property press the “Add Unit” button on the bottom left of the page. You can also delete a unit by pressing the “X” on the far right of the units row.
- After filling out all the property and unit details press submit in order to add both the property and units to your Octo portfolio.
